Endless Love

Usually, two madly in love couple go to a bridge or anywhere close to water where there is a place to lock padlocks on. They lock one or two padlocks representing them on a bridge or a fence and throw the key into the water. This is to symbolize their never-ending love for each other. Like the locked padlocks they are bound in love and the key to free them from their bondage has been thrown away out of reach.
But who wants to lock a single padlock in a symbol of love and write "I will Love You Endlessly"  and throw the key into the lake? Is it a rejected lover? Is is it a lover who broke up with his love and can not move on? Is it someone who has lost a loved one?
Here is a story of a young man madly in love with a girl who doesn't share his love for her. Let us call him the Lover since that is simple and because that is what he is after all. We might even call him The Desperate Lover but that is long and it will make our story longer. So the Lover's love has been rejected and he is not happy about it. He didn't know how to carry his broken heart and move on. Here he is at a beautiful lake frequented by lovers but he has no one with him except sadness he brought with him. He had imagined thousands and thousands of time how he will come to this place with his lover in arms and lock two padlocks or maybe one with initials of both on it would be enough and throw the keys in the lake to mark the unbroken love that they have for each other. But now he is by himself with only one padlock to lock and throw its key into the lake so that no one can open the locked padlock and brake the love that he has for the girl he loves but would not love him back. The Lover is still a lover even though his love does not love him. He had made a simple statement of love. In locking a single padlock on the fence by the lake and writing "I Love You Endlessly" on the padlock before throwing the key into the deep water.  We hope he will not give up on love and come back one day with a new love this time with two padlocks to lock together.
